What Are You Fighting? Inside Our Winter Collaboration with Dpro

Every FVCK piece carries the same four letters and the same reminder: Forget Violence, Create Kings. That isn't a slogan we print on things. It's the whole reason the brand exists. So when we sat down to plan this year's winter campaign, "sell some warm clothes" was never going to be the full brief. We wanted the collection to actually say something.
What came out of that is the collaboration I want to tell you about.
Own The Winter - and mean it
On the surface, "Own The Winter" was simple: premium cold-weather streetwear built for comfort and confidence. The Potty D. Home Run Baseball Jacket. The Brushed Fleece Tracker. The Jakalazi Contrast Tape Tracksuit. Pieces made to be worn and lived in, not just photographed.
But winter was only the starting point. The real subject was identity - showing up with presence and purpose when the season and life, turns cold on you. To pull that off, I didn't just need a model. I needed a creative who understood the difference between selling a jacket and telling a story.
Taking a chance on Dpro
I'll be honest with you: bringing someone new into your brand always carries a bit of risk. You're handing your identity to another person's eye and trusting them to see it the way you do. With Dpro (@dpro_him), that trust turned out to be one of the best calls I've made.
Dpro is more than an influencer. He's a filmmaker, a music producer, a proper all-round creative - the kind of person who hears a concept and immediately starts building a world around it. From our first few conversations it was obvious he understood FVCK. Not the clothes. The message underneath them.
The looks
The first drop went live at the end of June, and it landed exactly how we hoped. Dpro in the FVCK tee and cap, gold chains, shot against a heavy wood-and-iron backdrop that gave the whole thing a quiet, grown kind of authority. Clean. Premium. Confident. The type of image that stops your thumb mid-scroll.

It garnered good reach across the different social media platforms and the comments said more than any metric could - people asking where to cop the merch, calling it beautiful, wanting in. For a homegrown South African brand, that response means everything.
When a campaign became a film
Here's where it got special.
What started as a styled photo drop grew - organically over a handful of weekends on set - into a short film. Dpro and his team built a storyline that follows a boy into manhood, tracing everything he carries, everything he survives, and everything he eventually has to make peace with.
There's a boxing ring. There's a young man standing in it, being screamed at to fight.
And he chooses not to.
That one moment is the entire campaign in a single frame. In a country where violence is too often the first language we reach for, we wanted to speak differently. Forget Violence. Create Kings. It's a story about becoming something greater than whatever tried to break you.
Why the timing matters
We put the first trailer out in early August, deliberately close to Women's Day. That wasn't an accident. The women in this country carry the heaviest cost of the violence we're speaking against, and if our message is going to mean anything, it has to mean something that week especially. #NoToGBV isn't a hashtag we tacked on at the end. It's the point.
What's coming (and what we're keeping under wraps)
The film is done - but we're holding it close for now. What you've seen so far are teasers. Glimpses. The full three-minute story is being saved for a proper screening, with a pop-up activation to go with it. We'd rather have you in the room for that one than have you scroll past it.
So treat this as your early heads-up. Keep an eye on @dpro_him and on our pages - fresh cuts and remixed teasers are dropping to keep the momentum building, and the full reveal is on its way.
Until then, sit with the question the film keeps asking:
What are you fighting? And is it worth it?
Forget Violence. Create Kings.
